Title: System Administrator

Job Type: 6- month Contract

Pay Rate: $40-45 per hour

Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support and maintain its enterprise IT infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technology professional who enjoys managing server environments, supporting critical systems, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure a secure and reliable technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows server environments and supporting infrastructure.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and patch management.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Support virtualization platforms, including VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology initiatives.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, server, and network-related issues.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and user account administration.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Maintain system documentation, procedures, and technical standards.
• Collaborate with internal IT staff and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities and occasional after-hours support as needed.
• Ensure adherence to established IT security policies and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Systems Administration or related infrastructure experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Hands-on experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration is preferred.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with PowerShell or other scripting tools is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure.
• Exposure to cybersecurity best practices and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience participating in infrastructure modernization or migration projects.
