Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a strategic business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing financial leadership to support the Company's continued growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. The CFO will oversee all finance, accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax, risk management, and information systems functions while helping drive strategic initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, and commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and execute long-term strategic growth plans.
- Serve as a key advisor to the Board of Directors and ownership on financial strategy, business performance, and capital allocation.
- Evaluate organic growth opportunities, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and new business ventures.
- Direct annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Provide profitability analysis by customer, channel, product category, and manufacturing facility.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee tax planning, audits, banking relationships, insurance programs, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and professional advisors.
- Lead cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
- Support debt management, banking negotiations, and capital investment planning.
- Evaluate opportunities for strategic financing and growth capital.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
- CPA, CMA, and/or MBA strongly preferred.
- 5+ years in a senior executive finance role (CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent).
- Significant experience within food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), fresh foods, produce, refrigerated foods, or related industries.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
- Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and strategic planning functions.
- Demonstrated success supporting high-growth organizations.
