Technical Recruiting Manager (Player/Coach) – Technical Staffing

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday-Thursday in office | Friday remote (additional flexibility available based on performance)

About the Opportunity

A growing national technology staffing firm is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiting Manager to lead and develop a high-performing recruiting team while remaining hands-on with full-cycle technical recruiting.

This is a true player/coach opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring recruiters, building teams, and continuing to produce personally. The Austin office is in an exciting growth phase with significant investment in expanding both its recruiting and sales organizations, making this a highly visible leadership role with excellent long-term career growth.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of technical recruiters.

• Hire, onboard, and train new recruiting team members.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.

• Track recruiting metrics and drive accountability to performance goals.

• Maintain a full-cycle technical recruiting desk while leading the recruiting team.

• Source, recruit, and qualify IT, engineering, and other professional-level candidates.

• Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for current and future client needs.

• Partner closely with sales leadership to ensure exceptional client delivery.

• Foster a collaborative, high-performance recruiting culture.

Qualifications

• Technical/IT staffing agency recruiting experience required.

• Previous recruiting leadership or management experience required (1-2+ years preferred).

• Experience hiring, coaching, mentoring, and developing recruiters.

• Strong agency recruiting background; staffing agency experience is required.

• Proven success sourcing and managing multiple technical searches simultaneously.

• Highly competitive, self-motivated, and driven to achieve results.

• Ability to remain hands-on in recruiting while leading a growing team.
