Position Title: Constructability Review Specialist

About the Opportunity:
Our client is a construction management firm supporting a large public-sector educational facilities program in Los Angeles. They are seeking a Constructability Review Specialist to support preconstruction planning, design reviews, value engineering, and constructability analysis across complex capital improvement and modernization projects.
This role is responsible for reviewing design documents, identifying constructability concerns, evaluating project requirements, recommending value engineering solutions, and supporting project teams during the preconstruction phase to reduce design conflicts, RFIs, change orders, and construction risks.
The position works closely with Design Managers, Owner’s Representatives, architects, engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure construction documents are coordinated, complete, and aligned with project objectives prior to bidding and construction.
This role supports educational facility modernization and capital improvement projects within a large public-sector program environment.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles.

Option 1 – Architectural / Construction Administration Background
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
Minimum 15 years of full-time professional experience.
Minimum 10 years serving as a Construction Administrator.
Minimum 5 years serving as a Designer.
Construction Administration experience supporting public-sector or educational facility projects.
Experience supporting projects valued at $8M+ individually or $80M+ cumulatively.
OR
Option 2 – Construction Management Background
Minimum 15 years of full-time professional experience as a Project Superintendent or Project Manager.
Experience supporting public-sector, educational facility, or large commercial construction projects.
Full responsibility for coordinating complex construction projects.
Experience supporting projects valued at $30M+ individually and $400M+ cumulatively.
Educational Substitution
Candidates who do not possess the required degree may substitute a minimum of two years of college-level coursework from an accredited college, university, or trade school and five additional years of qualifying experience in lieu of the degree requirement.
Candidates must still meet the applicable professional experience requirements listed above.
