About the Opportunity:
Our client is a construction management firm supporting a large public-sector capital improvement program in Los Angeles. They are seeking a Project Manager III (Technology PMIS) to lead enterprise Project Management Information System (PMIS) implementation, modernization, integration, and optimization initiatives supporting large-scale capital construction and infrastructure programs.
This role is responsible for leading PMIS transition efforts, overseeing system implementation and integration activities, supporting accounting and invoicing workflows, coordinating testing and training activities, and driving operational improvements across project controls, financial management, and capital program delivery functions.
The position works closely with executive leadership, PMO teams, IT departments, finance organizations, contractors, consultants, and operational stakeholders to support successful deployment and long-term optimization of enterprise PMIS platforms.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead PMIS implementation, modernization, migration, and optimization initiatives supporting large capital improvement programs.
- Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership, PMO teams, IT departments, finance teams, consultants, contractors, and end users.
- Support transition activities from legacy PMIS platforms, including Proliance, to Trimble Unity Construct (eBuilder).
- Coordinate system planning, deployment, configuration, migration, integration, testing, and operational readiness activities.
- Develop and maintain implementation schedules, issue logs, deployment plans, and risk tracking activities.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), quality assurance activities, and post-go-live support efforts.
- Support integration between PMIS platforms and financial systems including Deltek Costpoint and related accounting systems.
- Collaborate with accounting, finance, project controls, and operational teams regarding budgeting, contract management, invoicing, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Develop and deliver PMIS training, user support resources, procedures, and change management initiatives.
- Support development of dashboards, reporting tools, executive-level analytics, and business intelligence solutions.
- Coordinate system enhancements, upgrades, workflow improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support governance standards, reporting structures, implementation strategies, and enterprise technology roadmaps.
Mandatory Requirements:
(Candidates must meet all requirements)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience supporting large-scale capital programs, PMO systems, enterprise technology implementations, or construction technology initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading PMIS implementation, migration, or modernization initiatives within public-sector or large enterprise environments.
- Experience transitioning organizations from legacy PMIS platforms to modern enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting, invoicing, budgeting, cost management, financial controls, and capital program management.
- Experience with Trimble Unity Construct (eBuilder), Deltek Costpoint, reporting tools, dashboard development, and business intelligence solutions.
- Strong understanding of project controls, cost management, construction workflows, capital program governance, invoice processing, and operational readiness processes.
- Experience coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), end-user training, post-go-live support, and system enhancements.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical and operational teams.
- Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies and software delivery lifecycle management.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Los Angeles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting public agencies, higher education districts, airports, ports, utilities, or other large infrastructure programs.
- Experience serving as an Owner’s Representative for PMIS implementation or capital technology initiatives.
- Experience managing PMIS migrations from Proliance or similar legacy platforms into Trimble Unity Construct (eBuilder).
- Experience with construction accounting systems, contract management, invoice approval workflows, and capital financial reporting.
- Experience with data migration, ETL processes, reporting architecture, dashboard development, BIM integrations, document management systems, or asset management platforms.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or similar credentials.
- Experience presenting to executive leadership, governing boards, and senior stakeholders.
