Executive Chef – Upscale Café Concept

Atlanta, Georgia

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 Base + Bonus + Full Benefits

An established, high-volume upscale café concept is seeking an Executive Chef to lead culinary operations within a fast-paced scratch kitchen environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for a chef who thrives in the kitchen, leads from the front, and understands how to execute at a high level during busy services.

This is not an office job. The Executive Chef must be highly visible in daily operations, actively involved with the team, and capable of driving execution, quality, and consistency in a demanding high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Lead all day-to-day back-of-house culinary operations

Oversee high-volume scratch kitchen production and execution

Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation standards

Manage food cost, labor cost, inventory, and ordering systems

Hire, train, mentor, and develop BOH management and hourly team members

Work side-by-side with the kitchen team during service

Ensure sanitation, safety, and operational standards are consistently executed

Partner with ownership on menu development and operational improvements

Qualifications

5+ years of Executive Chef experience in high-volume upscale dining or café concepts

Strong scratch cooking background is required

Proven experience leading busy kitchen operations with strong systems and execution

Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work the line and lead during peak volume

Strong financial acumen including labor and food cost management

Stable job history with progressive leadership growth
