About the Opportunity

RIM Recruitment Professionals is conducting a search for a Senior Supply Chain Manager on behalf of an innovative manufacturing organization located in Moses Lake, Washington.

This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing manufacturing operation and play a critical leadership role in developing and optimizing supply chain processes that support current production and future expansion. The successful candidate will lead strategic sourcing, procurement, inventory management, production planning, logistics, warehousing, and supplier performance initiatives while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams.

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on supply chain leader with experience supporting fuel production, oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, renewable fuels, industrial gas, specialty chemical, energy, or similar process manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building scalable systems, driving operational excellence, and supporting long-term business growth.

Position Summary

The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations, including strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, production planning, inventory control, warehousing, logistics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role serves as a key business partner to Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Executive Leadership, ensuring the reliable flow of materials, equipment, and services necessary to support manufacturing operations, future expansion efforts, and long-term business objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring supply chain leadership experience from fuel production, oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, renewable fuels, industrial gas, specialty chemical, energy, or other highly regulated process manufacturing environments where operational uptime, supplier reliability, inventory optimization, and material availability are critical to success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with operational requirements and long-term business objectives
  • Lead strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, inventory planning, logistics, warehousing, and material management functions
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships while driving improvements in quality, service, delivery performance, and cost efficiency
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and long-term strategic partnerships
  • Ensure timely procurement and availability of critical materials, equipment, and services required to support manufacturing operations
  • Develop inventory management strategies that optimize working capital while maintaining operational readiness and production continuity
  • Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to support production planning, demand forecasting, and capacity planning activities
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier performance, inventory accuracy, logistics efficiency, cost savings, and procurement effectiveness
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that could impact production schedules, operational performance, or business objectives
  • Support facility growth initiatives, plant expansions, commissioning efforts, and startup activities
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency, reducing costs, strengthening supplier performance, and improving operational reliability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Leadership teams to achieve business objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and operational excellence

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, Logistics, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive supply chain experience supporting oil & gas, fuel production, refining, petrochemical, renewable fuels, industrial gas, specialty chemical, energy, or other complex process manufacturing operations
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing supply chain teams, strategic sourcing initiatives, procurement programs, inventory management, or manufacturing support functions
  • Demonstrated experience leading procurement, strategic sourcing, inventory planning, logistics, supplier development, and supplier performance programs
  • Strong understanding of ERP and MRP systems within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience negotiating supplier contracts and driving measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and service performance
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), renewable fuels, biofuels, refining, petrochemical processing, industrial gases, hydrogen, carbon utilization, specialty chemicals, or advanced manufacturing operations
  • Experience supporting greenfield facilities, plant startups, commissioning activities, or rapid production scale-up initiatives
  • APICS, CSCP, CPSM, CPIM, or related professional certification
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong understanding of supply chain risk management and strategic sourcing best practices
  • Experience supporting capital projects and manufacturing facility expansions
