Manager of Integrations (Private Equity Backed Company)
Location: St. Louis, MO OR Remote
Reports To: VP M&A and Strategy
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, operationally driven Manager of Integrations to lead post-acquisition integration initiatives across a growing private equity-backed organization. This role will serve as a cross-functional project leader responsible for integrating newly acquired businesses into the company’s operational infrastructure, systems, processes, and reporting environment.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of operational leadership, project management expertise, process improvement capability, and strong business acumen. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership, finance, HR, IT, and operations teams to ensure integrations are executed efficiently, on schedule, and aligned with strategic growth objectives.
This is a highly visible role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoys building structure, accountability, and scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities
Integration & Project Management
- Lead end-to-end integration activities for newly acquired businesses, from due diligence support through post-close execution.
- Develop and manage detailed integration project plans, timelines, milestones, and accountability matrices.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of operational, financial, HR, IT, and reporting processes.
- Track integration progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues to maintain project momentum.
- Facilitate recurring integration meetings and provide status updates to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders.
Operational Leadership
- Assess acquired company operations and identify opportunities for standardization, efficiency improvements, and scalability.
- Support implementation of operational best practices, SOPs, workflows, and performance metrics across acquired entities.
- Partner with leadership teams to align business operations with corporate objectives and integration goals.
- Help establish organizational structure, communication cadence, and accountability processes during integration periods.
- Assist with change management initiatives and ensure smooth transitions for employees and leadership teams.
Systems & Process Coordination
- Coordinate integration of ERP systems, financial reporting platforms, operational software, and internal tools.
- Work closely with IT and finance teams to ensure accurate data migration, reporting continuity, and process consistency.
- Support development of KPI dashboards, reporting structures, and operational analytics.
- Document integration processes and create repeatable playbooks for future acquisitions.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Support
- Support acquisition due diligence efforts by evaluating operational readiness, systems, and integration considerations.
- Collaborate with finance teams on synergy tracking, cost savings initiatives, and operational performance reporting.
- Serve as a key liaison between corporate leadership and acquired company leadership teams.
- Drive accountability across departments to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Project Management, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, integrations, project management, consulting, or related leadership roles.
- Experience within a private equity-backed, multi-site, high-growth, or acquisition-driven environment strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of operational workflows, process improvement, and organizational integration.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
- ERP implementation or systems integration experience is a plus.
- PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
