HR Generalist

Are you an organized, people-focused HR professional who enjoys balancing day-to-day operations with employee support? We’re looking for an HR Generalist for our manufacturing client company in Frankfort to help manage key HR processes, support employees and managers, and contribute to a well-run workplace. This onsite role includes payroll, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, training, and HR support responsibilities.
Support core HR operations, including payroll processing, employee records, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Coordinate recruiting and onboarding activities, including candidate screening, interview scheduling, and new hire documentation.
Assist with employee engagement efforts and help support workplace programs and initiatives.
Organize training activities, track completion, and maintain related records.
Support benefits administration by responding to employee questions and assisting with enrollment activities.
Provide daily HR support to employees and managers on routine processes and questions.
Maintain HR data and prepare reports related to staffing, turnover, training, and benefits.
Provide timely, organized support across recruiting, onboarding, and employee service activities.
Manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accurate records.
Familiarity with payroll processes, HRIS systems, and HR compliance requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with employees and managers.
Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks effectively.
Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee information.
Experience supporting payroll, employee records, onboarding, or benefits administration.
Confidence working with HR data, reports, and compliance-related processes.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of HR experience in a generalist or similar hands-on HR support role (preferably within a manufacturing environment)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
