About Our Client:
Our client, a prominent North American manufacturing firm, is looking to hire an Industrial Sales Engineer for its affiliate located in Northern California. The hired candidate will assist in sales growth by building relationships with clients, developing technical solutions for our Client's industry-renowned products and overseeing the technical and operational aspects of product development and operational engineering. Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
Responsibilities:
- Developing a strong understanding of company products, competitors and positioning
- Creating strategic and tactical plans to successfully reach new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, products and services
- Identifying customer needs through building strategic relationships with technical representatives
- Generate, manage and lead routine technical workshops with key customers
- Coordinate internal and client attendance so that needs can be determined and solutions developed. Ensuring solutions satisfy those needs and are within the capabilities of the business
- Working closely with internal departments to accelerate new products introductions
- Collaborating with local sales teams to align concepts and value propositions
- Prepare presentations; reports and support sales deliver the technical pitch
- Working with Senior Managers to manage risks and grow profitable sales revenues
Requirements
- A track record of growing business with electrical utility companies
- Preferred Master’s degree level education in engineering; Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Good negotiator, persuasive and commercially astute
- Technically astute with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Analytical, systematic approach to problem solving
- Maintain, encourage and possess “ownership mentality”
- Ability to adapt a strategic or consultative approach to closing opportunities
- Good business acumen, self-starter and able to manage oneself.
