We are a fast-growing eCommerce fulfillment and third-party logistics (3PL) company seeking an experienced General Manager to lead operations at one of our warehouse facilities. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role with full ownership of performance, team, and client experience.
This is not a step-up role. We’re looking for someone who has already led warehouse operations and can bring structure, discipline, and operational excellence from day one.
Operations & Execution
• Own day-to-day warehouse operations across receiving, inventory, pick/pack, shipping, and returns
• Ensure accuracy, speed, and cost-efficiency across all workflows
• Maintain readiness for volume spikes, peak seasons, and new client onboarding
• Establish and enforce SOPs, safety standards, and operational discipline
KPI & Performance Management
• Drive key metrics including order accuracy, on-time shipping, labor efficiency, and inventory accuracy
• Build and maintain reporting cadence and hold team accountable to performance targets
• Identify root causes of performance gaps and implement solutions quickly
• Continuously improve throughput, cost per order, and operational reliability
Team Leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop Warehouse Managers, Team Leads, and floor staff
• Hire, onboard, and manage a team of approximately 10–30 employees
• Set clear expectations and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Address underperformance decisively and build leadership bench strength
Labor & Workforce Planning
• Own staffing model, scheduling, and labor allocation across all departments
• Align labor to volume trends and seasonal demand
• Manage productivity standards and labor cost relative to revenue
• Ensure proper coverage for peak days and weekend operations as needed
Client Experience
• Serve as the primary escalation point for client-related issues
• Communicate proactively around volume changes, delays, and operational risks
• Partner cross-functionally to maintain strong client relationships
• Play a key role in client retention through consistent execution
Financial Ownership
• Own warehouse-level P&L and cost control
• Manage labor spend, overtime, and cost per order
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve profitability
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts
Process & Systems
• Build, refine, and enforce scalable SOPs across all operations
• Ensure strong inventory control and system integrity
• Oversee cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and SKU/location accuracy
• Identify automation and process improvement opportunities
Facility & Safety
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices
• Oversee layout optimization and space utilization
• 5+ years of experience in eCommerce fulfillment or 3PL operations
• Prior experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or senior warehouse leader
• Strong experience managing labor, KPIs, and P&L
• Experience leading teams of approximately 10–50 employees
• Hands-on operator with a process-driven mindset
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Multi-client 3PL environment with higher operational complexity than single-brand warehouses
• Heavy focus on KPIs, labor efficiency, and margin management
