Senior FP&A Analyst

RIM Recruitment is partnering with a respected professional services firm on a confidential search for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst. This role is ideal for a seasoned FP&A professional who thrives in a data‑driven environment, enjoys complex reporting, and is comfortable serving as a strategic resource across multiple departments.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll play a key role in shaping financial insights and supporting firmwide decision‑making. Responsibilities include:
- Building and refining financial reports, models, and dashboards using advanced Excel and business intelligence tools
- Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, including management reporting and financial performance analysis
- Partnering with leadership to deliver ad‑hoc analyses, compensation modeling, and special projects
- Serving as a resource to junior analysts and contributing to team priorities
- Managing projects from concept through completion, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Developing deep expertise in the firm’s financial systems and data structure
- Extracting, transforming, and analyzing data using SQL, Power Query, Tableau, or similar tools
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to complete external surveys and reporting requests
- Handling additional finance‑related tasks as needed in a fast‑paced environment
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical strength, analytical curiosity, and polished communication skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive FP&A or financial analysis experience
- Strong command of financial systems, reporting tools, and data extraction
- Advanced Excel capabilities (Power Query, pivot tables, macros, complex formulas, data modeling)
- Experience writing or working with SQL queries and BI tools
- Background in professional services or partnership‑based environments is a plus
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, concise insights for non‑financial stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to leadership
- CPA is beneficial but not required
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak reporting periods
