About the Opportunity:
Our client is a construction management firm supporting a large public-sector capital improvement program in Los Angeles. They are seeking a Construction Scheduler III to support project management teams on complex public works and infrastructure projects.
This role is responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining project schedules, conducting schedule analysis, and supporting reporting and forecasting activities across multiple capital projects. The position works closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure schedule performance aligns with program objectives.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and review construction schedules including baseline schedules, updates, and Time Impact Analysis (TIA) reports
- Develop and maintain master and detailed project schedules
- Utilize Critical Path Method (CPM) and milestone tracking to monitor project performance
- Prepare and maintain resource-loaded schedules, including cost and performance tracking for EVM reporting
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and identify variances, trends, and risks
- Perform schedule impact analysis and develop mitigation strategies
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, progress reports, and scheduling documentation
- Develop and present schedule reports, charts, and executive-level summaries
- Review contractor schedules and provide written comments and recommendations
- Coordinate schedule updates and corrections with contractors and project teams
- Evaluate requests for time extensions and perform schedule analysis (e.g., window analysis)
- Identify critical paths, near-critical paths, and key milestone impacts
- Support reporting of schedule performance issues to project leadership
- Develop and maintain simplified schedules for stakeholder communication
- Support coordination of scheduling activities across multiple projects
Mandatory Requirements:

- Minimum 15 years of experience in construction project management or scheduling roles
- Strong experience in construction scheduling and schedule analysis on capital projects
- Experience working on public works or infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling
- Experience reviewing and analyzing contractor schedules and TIA reports
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (including Excel, Project, and related platforms)
- Experience preparing reports, presentations, and scheduling documentation
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Los Angeles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on large public-sector capital programs
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or equivalent
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting
- Experience preparing executive-level schedule reports and presentations
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and phasing strategies
- Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and project teams
