Mechanical Engineer
Salary - up to $90,000

About Our Client:

Our client, a prominent North American manufacturing firm, is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer for its affiliate located in Northern California. The hired candidate will work with manufacturing and engineering professionals, directly supporting the engineering, quality (especially recent ISO 9001 efforts), safety, production and machine shop departments.

Responsibilities:

Assist in research and development methods to design, manufacture, and ship various items.
Help to established best practices as it relates to workflow, technologies, machinery & equipment.
Help develop training manuals.
CNC Machine programming.
Lead industrial improvement efforts; monitor KPI’s to improve facility layout, production processes, tooling, etc.
Research & develop existing technology including determining most suitable machinery to use with emphasis on automation.
Continuously work to help improve safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Lead reliability and destructive test functions while referencing relevant industry standards & customer requirements.
Assist in inspections of inbound receipts including raw materials, sub-components, and finish goods.
Be proactive and support all departments even if not directly related.
Perform other duties and projects within reason as assigned.

Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science in relevant engineering disciplines including manufacturing, mechanical, structural, metallurgy etc.
· Navigate company critical software systems including ERP, EQM, PM, and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar.
· Ability to multi-task and learn quickly.
· 1-2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing facility.
· Must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
