Paralegal – Finance & Corporate Transactions
Direct Hire | Hybrid
We are partnering with a highly regarded, multi‑office law firm to add an experienced Finance Paralegal to their growing team. This role can sit in Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, DC, Denver, Detroit, Indianapolis, or Minneapolis, offering the opportunity to support a sophisticated finance practice within a collaborative, client‑focused environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in transactional work, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to manage complex documentation with precision. This position is well‑suited for a paralegal who thrives in a fast‑paced practice and enjoys being deeply involved in the lifecycle of commercial finance matters.
What You’ll Do
- Assist attorneys with due diligence review, including gathering, organizing, and analyzing corporate and financial information
- Prepare and update transaction checklists, timelines, and closing materials
- Draft and revise a variety of finance‑related documents, such as agreements, certificates, resolutions, and supporting corporate records
- Review corporate organizational documents for accuracy and compliance with transaction requirements
- Monitor the progress of active matters and help ensure deadlines and deliverables stay on track
- Support attorneys with public record searches, data room organization, and summarizing key findings
- Coordinate closing logistics, including assembling signature pages, preparing closing binders, and managing document flow
- Communicate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams regarding document status and information needs
- Assist with internal process improvements, template updates, and special projects as assigned
- Contribute to a team culture centered on responsiveness, accuracy, and exceptional client service
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of paralegal experience, ideally within finance, corporate, or transactional practice areas
- Paralegal certificate, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Experience drafting and reviewing complex legal documents
- Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines
- Sound judgment with the ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset
