Job Description

Our client in the software sector is seeking a Regional Sales Manager who is responsible for driving growth throughout the Northeast while leading, mentoring, and expanding a high-performing team of remotely based technical sales specialists across the United States.

This newly established position reports directly to the Director of Sales and may be based in Massachusetts, New Jersey, or New York. The role requires approximately 50% travel, including extensive regional driving and monthly overnight trips.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development

Lead and manage a remote team of four U.S.-based technical sales specialists

Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings focused on pipeline performance, deal strategy, and individual development

Accompany team members on critical customer calls and site visits to demonstrate effective negotiation techniques and technical sales storytelling

Oversee sales funnel performance and activity metrics (calls, demonstrations, quotations, and revenue) using a CRM platform

Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales to refine national sales strategies and ensure the team has the tools and support needed to succeed

Territory Growth – Northeast U.S.

Own and expand the Northeast territory, spanning from Virginia to Maine, with a primary emphasis on Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York

Generate new business through active prospecting, cold outreach, site visits, and deal execution

Spend more than half of working time traveling to customer sites, manufacturing plants, and engineering firms, including frequent long day trips

Deliver hands-on technical demonstrations of various solutions across precast, infrastructure, high-rise, and mass concrete applications

Qualifications for Success
Minimum of five years of experience in technical sales, including at least two years in a leadership or team lead role

Experience working within a structured, KPI-driven sales organization

Completion of a formal sales training program is strongly preferred

Background in concrete, civil engineering, construction technology, or a related field is highly desirable

Proven ability to coach and develop sales representatives to consistently achieve or exceed targets

Strong understanding of the Northeast market and willingness to meet demanding travel requirements

High level of proficiency with CRM tools for pipeline management and forecasting

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to travel to Canada for meetings and training sessions

This is a fully remote position based in New York, New Jersey, or Massachusetts. The company’s headquarters are located in Toronto, Canada, with additional team members located across multiple U.S. and Canadian regions.
