Legal Assistant – Commercial Real Estate

We are partnering with a respected law firm to identify an experienced Legal Assistant to support a high‑performing Commercial Real Estate practice in Atlanta, GA. About the Role
The Legal Assistant will play a key role in supporting attorneys throughout all phases of commercial real estate transactions. This includes coordinating due diligence, preparing documentation, managing timelines, and ensuring smooth closings. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast‑paced practice.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys throughout the lifecycle of commercial real estate transactions, from initial contract review through post‑closing deliverables
- Organize and track due diligence materials, ensuring all required documents are collected, reviewed, and completed on schedule
- Assist with reviewing title and survey materials and coordinating with external parties to resolve issues
- Prepare closing-related documentation, assemble closing sets, and maintain accurate checklists and timelines
- Draft and revise transactional documents, including amendments, ancillary agreements, and summaries of key terms
- Maintain and update internal databases, electronic files, and document management systems
- Communicate with clients, title companies, lenders, and other stakeholders to keep transactions moving efficiently
- Support attorneys with scheduling, document preparation, and general administrative needs as required
- Ensure all work adheres to client protocols and firm standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred
- 5+ years of commercial real estate legal support experience, ideally within a law firm
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, team‑oriented approach with a commitment to high‑quality client service
