Supply Chain Manager
Salary - $125,000 US + 10% Bonus

About Our Client:

Our client, a prominent North American manufacturing firm, is looking to hire a Supply Chain Manager for their Head Office located in Illinois.

Responsibilities:

▪Develop and implement a supply chain strategy aligned with business goals.
▪Collaborate and work closely with the team to create and execute procurement and vendor management strategies to streamline sourcing, production, and distribution processes, targeting efficiency and overall value.
▪Use data analysis, forecasting models, and optimization tools to identify bottlenecks and improve supply chain and procurement efficiency while reducing costs.
▪Establish supplier qualification and performance standards specific to critical components for the production of our Client's topline products, ensuring consistent quality and compliance.
▪Coordinate with engineering and production teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules, minimizing lead times and production downtime.
▪Develop and integrate demand forecasting models with sales, inventory, engineering and production teams to anticipate customer and market requirements.
▪Translate market intelligence into agile production and procurement plans, improving responsiveness and reducing forecasting errors.
▪Ensure forecasting is fully embedded within the broader S&OP process, enabling proactive supply chain and capacity planning.
▪Ensure purchasing practices comply with Group sustainability goals, including supplier environmental standards, ethical sourcing, and waste reduction initiatives.
▪Establish and manage strategic partnerships with logistics service providers, including transportation, handling, and warehousing to drive cost efficiencies while upholding high standards of service quality, reliability, and compliance.
▪Oversee and execute audits of logistics partners to ensure adherence to our Client’s operational procedures, documentation protocols, and sustainability commitments.
▪Design, implement, and continuously refine control mechanisms and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain health, proactively identify inefficiencies, and drive data-driven decision-making.
▪Direct collaboration with transport partners to optimize end-to-end logistics flows, improving inbound raw material availability and outbound delivery performance to meet customer expectations and production timelines.
▪Manage inventory across multiple nodes balancing service levels with working capital efficiency, and preventing excess, obsolescence, or stock outs.
▪Align closely with the production planner to synchronize production schedules with inventory strategies, ensuring seamless operational continuity and responsiveness to demand fluctuations.
▪Cultivate and manage high-impact relationships with strategic suppliers and vendors to ensure continuity, innovation, and alignment with long-term business goals.
▪Lead the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, including rigorous selection, qualification, onboarding, and continuous performance monitoring based on defined KPIs and risk assessments.
▪Drive supplier audit programs to ensure full compliance with Greenfield’s quality, delivery, ethical sourcing, and sustainability standards.
▪Develop and implement supplier development programs to strengthen capabilities, improve cost structures, and foster innovation across critical supply categories.
▪Mitigate supply chain risk through proactive scenario planning, dual sourcing strategies, and geopolitical risk assessment, ensuring business resilience and uninterrupted operations.
▪Lead contract negotiations ensuring favorable terms, risk mitigation, and long-term value.
▪Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including accurate execution, renewals, amendment tracking, and compliance monitoring.
▪Partner cross-functionally with legal, finance, and procurement stakeholders to ensure all agreements meet regulatory, financial, and operational requirements.
▪Oversee the maintenance of accurate and consistent master data, including suppliers, items, BOMs, and pricing structures, to support reliable forecasting and decision-making.
▪Analyze existing Syspro workflows and identify opportunities to streamline procurement, inventory, production planning, and reporting processes.
▪Design and implement performance metrics within Syspro to track operational efficiency, procurement cycle times, order fulfillment accuracy, and inventory turnover.

Requirements:

▪Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.
▪10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, particularly in the manufacturing sector. At least 3-5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
▪Proven expertise in Syspro ERP or similar ERP systems, with strong skills in reporting, data analysis, and process optimization to streamline supply chain operations.
▪Strong leadership capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational alignment.
▪Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
▪In-depth knowledge of sourcing, procurement, contract management, inventory management, and logistics to ensure supply chain best practices and operational excellence.
▪Communication- Excellent command over English (both verbal and written)
▪Problem solving- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
▪Syspro ERP: Experience with Syspro ERP system, particularly in modules related to procurement, inventory management, production planning, and reporting, a plus.
▪Microsoft Excel: Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
▪Power BI/Tableau: Experience with Power BI or Tableau for supply chain analytics, dashboard creation, and business intelligence reporting, would be plus.
