Account Manager – Employee Benefits

Location: Wayne, PA (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to support clients within an Employee Benefits brokerage environment. This role is responsible for managing a book of business, delivering excellent client service, and supporting benefit renewals, enrollments, and ongoing plan administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for an assigned group of employee benefits clients
  • Manage client relationships by resolving service issues and escalating concerns when needed
  • Coordinate renewals, including carrier negotiations, RFPs, plan comparisons, and recommendations
  • Prepare and deliver client materials such as renewal presentations, benefit guides, and enrollment communications
  • Lead open enrollment planning and execution, including carrier coordination and employee support
  • Analyze benefit plans, pricing, and plan design changes to support client decision-making
  • Collaborate with carriers, internal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth implementation and administration
  • Support benefit administration, enrollments, and carrier communications
  • Maintain accurate client records, renewals, and policy updates in CRM systems
  • Contribute to client satisfaction, retention, and process improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and support junior team members as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience supporting employee benefits clients (medical and/or voluntary benefits)
  • Active Life, Accident & Health Insurance License (required within 6 months of being hired)
  • Experience working directly with insurance carriers and employer clients
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
