Accounting Manager
A growing accounting and advisory practice is seeking an experienced, outgoing Accounting Manager who thrives in a collaborative, technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate has strong client-facing skills and is highly proficient in QuickBooks Online. Experience with homeowners association (HOA) accounting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Enter and electronically import banking and credit card transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loans; prepare journal entries
- Prepare compiled financial statements
- Process payroll (including quarterly returns, W-2s, and 1099s)
- Prepare Sales & Use Tax returns
- Deliver financial documents electronically
- Collaborate with CPAs and internal staff on special projects
- Contribute as a proactive, team-oriented problem solver
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an accounting or CPA firm preferred
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a technology-forward, paperless environment
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online (Desktop experience a plus)
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Experience with tax data intake and processing
- Experience preparing individual and corporate tax returns is a strong plus
