Position: Social Media Insights Strategist - Regulated Industries
Location: Remote – U.S. or Canada

Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 + benefits

Our client is a global social-first digital organization that partners with major brands to deliver best-in-class social media strategy, insights, and engagement. They support clients across highly regulated industries and are hiring a Social Media Insights Strategist to work with a client operating in a compliance-heavy environment.
This role is ideal for a strategic social thinker who uses insights to guide brand direction. You will analyze audience and cultural conversations, identify meaningful themes, and turn data into clear recommendations that influence content, messaging, channel strategy, and engagement. Success will require a combination of strategic thinking, comfort with insights, exceptional communication skills, and the confidence to present recommendations to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets from social media and digital platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to data governance requirements
- Use social listening and analytics tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Sprinklr, Khoros) to uncover audience trends, cultural themes, risks, sentiment drivers, and strategic opportunities
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations that influence content direction, messaging frameworks, channel strategy, and overall social positioning
- Develop clear, insight-driven presentations, briefs, and reports that connect data to strategic decisions
- Present recommendations to internal teams and client stakeholders with clarity and confidence
- Provide proactive POVs on platform updates, audience shifts, cultural trends, competitive activity, and risks such as misinformation
- Contribute to social audits, strategic playbooks, thought leadership materials, and best-practice frameworks
- Collaborate closely with strategists, analysts, creative teams, and client services to ensure cohesive and high-quality deliverables
- Ensure all strategic outputs consider regulatory and compliance requirements within health/pharma or other regulated environments
- Support continuous improvement efforts in reporting quality, strategic frameworks, and internal processes
Required Qualifications:
- 4–7 years of experience in social media strategy, insights, digital marketing, or a related discipline
- Experience supporting clients in regulated industries such as healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical, or financial services
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to build and communicate a clear point of view on social platforms, audiences, and content
- Hands-on experience with enterprise social listening tools (Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Sprinklr, Khoros, etc.)
- Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and concrete strategic recommendations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and comfort working with large datasets
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and presentation software (PowerPoint, Google Slides)
