Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
3–5+ years of experience in mechanical product design for manufacturing environments.
Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, FEA, and simulation tools).
Experience designing for thermoplastic and cross-linked polymer manufacturing processes (e.g., thermoforming, casting).
Knowledge of utility industry standards and safety regulations.
Strong analytical skills for structural and material performance analysis.
Ability to collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred: Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and design for manufacturability (DFM).
