Litigation Paralegal
About Our Client
Our client is an experienced and diverse civil litigation law firm that represents major insurance companies. The firm’s primary focus is on all aspects of insurance defense litigation. They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support their team.
Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts.
- Manage discovery, including organizing, reviewing, and producing documents.
- Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other key case materials.
- Support attorneys with trial preparation and attend hearings or trials as needed.
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and calendars.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts.
- Track and record billable hours in accordance with firm guidelines.
Requirements & Competencies:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (insurance defense preferred).
- Have strong experience meeting billing requirements
- Be skilled in reviewing medical records and preparing chronologies
- Have prior experience working in defense law firms
- Demonstrate stability and consistency in employment history
Location and Schedule:
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week.
- Work Location: Hybrid ~ Mon, Tues, Fri are Remote, Wed & Thurs are In-Office.
