Project Manager –
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Salary 80-120K
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead manufacturing projects from concept through completion. This position requires a strong technical foundation in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, paired with advanced project management and leadership skills.
You will be the central point of coordination — ensuring projects are scoped accurately, scheduled effectively, cost-controlled, and completed to Prime’s exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the technical liaison to customers, demonstrating Prime’s capability and commitment to quality.
Lead proposal and RFP development, including cost estimating and project documentation.
Oversee project planning and execution, developing routers, work instructions, and schedules.
Monitor performance metrics for cost, schedule, and quality; implement corrective actions When necessary.
Collaborate across machining, welding, fabrication, and quality teams to resolve technical challenges.
Manage contracts, pricing adjustments, and change orders to ensure compliance and profitability.
Maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through clear communication and dependable results.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
PMP certification with demonstrated application in manufacturing or industrial environments
7–10 years of project management experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
Strong knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication, and mechanical systems
Proven success managing complex, multi-phase projects with tight tolerances and demanding Customers
Proficiency in cost estimating, scheduling, ERP systems, and reporting tools
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Experience with contract management and compliance
Preferred:
Background in Mining, Power Generation, Aerospace & Defense, Oil & Gas, or Hydro industries
Familiarity with GD&T standards and their application in manufacturing
Hands-on experience in machining or fabrication environments
Exposure to Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma practices
