Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) – Nationwide Travel
Job Type: Full-time | Direct Hire | Salary: $75,000 - 100,000
Schedule: 17 days on / 11 days off rotation
Location: Nationwide (travel required; live anywhere in the U.S.)

About the Role
We’re hiring a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to join our field safety team on major construction, marine, and infrastructure projects across the United States.
This position is ideal for experienced Construction Safety Professionals who enjoy hands-on work, frequent travel, and helping crews stay safe on site.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining compliance, training employees, and supporting an Incident & Injury-Free (IIF) culture.

Key Responsibilities
• Implement and oversee site Safety, Health, and Environmental (HSE) programs.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments at active project sites.
• Lead daily safety meetings, orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Support project management with OSHA compliance and incident prevention.
• Document all safety observations, training, and incident reports accurately.
• Work closely with field teams to identify hazards and promote safe work practices.
• Ensure adherence to company Safety Management Systems and federal regulations.

Qualifications
• Education:
o High school diploma or equivalent required.
o Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Safety Engineering, or Construction preferred.
• Experience:
o Minimum 5 years of recent construction safety experience (no gaps over 1 year).
o Prior experience as a Field Safety Officer, Site Safety Manager, or HSE Coordinator preferred.
• Certifications:
o OSHA 30 Construction (required)
o Valid Driver’s License (required)
o TWIC Card or eligibility (required)
o Preferred: CHST, EM 385-1-1, Fall Protection (#3115), Confined Space (#2264), First Aid/CPR, and Accident Investigation.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EM 385-1-1 (USACE), and safety best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
• Computer proficient and detail-oriented.
• Must be able to travel 100% and work a 17 days on / 11 days off schedule.
