Job Description

Position: Test Engineer (2)
Location: Pontiac (60–70%) / Walled Lake (30–40%)
Compensation: $100,000–130,000 + Bonus + Signing Bonus
Relocation: Available

Role Overview

• Plan, coordinate, and execute engine and component-level testing for new technologies and products

• Ensure testing meets schedule and cost targets, and report results to project leadership

• Support design tasks required to fulfill test requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide feedback and guidance during design, assembly, and testing phases

• Participate in design and gate reviews

• Support tooling, instrumentation, and hardware modification for testing

• Prepare and manage test planning documentation and assembly test orders

• Lead test planning and readiness reviews (internal and external)

• Coordinate assigned test resources to achieve objectives

• Collaborate with test methods teams on facility and equipment modifications

• Work closely with project leadership to maintain scope and schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering

• 3–5+ years of relevant test experience

• Strong project, design, and manufacturing knowledge

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)

• Experience with NX and Teamcenter

• Skilled in Python or other data post-processing tools for large data sets

• Strong mechanical aptitude; turbofan engine knowledge preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Highly motivated, organized, and flexible for long-duration testing

• Willingness to travel for third-party facility testing

• U.S. citizenship required

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
