Senior Project Scheduler
Responsibilities
Lead the development and management of schedules for programs, projects, proposals, and contract negotiations
Establish and maintain detailed schedules for assigned disciplines or specialties
Develop work breakdown structures (WBS), activity durations, workflow logic, and resource-loaded schedules
Monitor and analyze schedules to identify critical path activities, risks, and potential impacts
Generate and present schedule performance metrics, reports, and forecasts to program management and stakeholders
Drive recovery planning efforts to mitigate schedule risks and delays
Validate and evaluate subcontractor schedules; recommend workarounds and improvements
Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to track and report schedule performance
Represent scheduling function in internal and external program reviews and customer meetings
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior schedulers on scheduling best practices
Travel as required for program or customer support
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
8–10 years of project scheduling experience required
Advanced expertise in schedule development, monitoring, control, and analysis
Prior aerospace or Department of Defense program planning and scheduling experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Project (or similar scheduling software) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes
Familiarity with Earned Value Management and related reporting standards
PMI-SP or PMI-EVMP certification is a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface at all levels of an organization
Demonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
U.S. Citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (subject to investigation and eligibility requirements)
