Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation

Responsibilities

Case Management & Litigation

• Handle civil litigation cases, including contract disputes, business litigation, construction law, and trade secret matters.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and argue motions in court.

Trial Preparation & Court Appearances

• Assist in trial preparation, including drafting trial briefs, witness outlines, and exhibit lists.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.

Strategic Legal Analysis & Client Counseling

• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on litigation risks and case strategy.
• Analyze case law and develop innovative legal arguments to advocate for client interests.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in civil litigation (law firm experience preferred).
• Illinois Bar admission and in good standing.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Experience handling depositions, motions, and court appearances.
• Excellent verbal advocacy and negotiation skills.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to case management.
