Position: Personal Injury Litigation Attorney
Location: Northern Virginia (Fairfax/ Chantilly VA) - Hybrid flexibility after onboarding
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $130,000 - $135,000 base salary (up to $145,000 for the right candidate with DC and/or MD license and strong PI litigation results) + quarterly performance-based commissions + relocation assistance if necessary.

Our client is a growing, highly regarded litigation firm in Northern Virginia specializing in personal injury and criminal defense. Known for a strong track record of courtroom success and client advocacy, the firm handles high-volume, high-impact litigation. They are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to take over an active caseload and continue the firm’s tradition of trial excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage a full caseload of personal injury matters from intake to resolution
- Conduct client consultations and assess case merit
- Investigate claims, gather medical records, and develop case strategy
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, demand letters, and other legal documentation
- Take and defend depositions; represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel or insurance adjusters
- Coordinate with medical providers and expert witnesses
- Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure timely case progression
- Maintain accurate documentation using case management software
- Provide consistent, compassionate client communication throughout the litigation process
What They’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- Licensed to practice law in Virginia (required)
- 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience, including trial experience
- Proven ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload
- Strong legal writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills
- Practical understanding of civil litigation, discovery, and case evaluation
- Client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Nice-to-Haves
- Licensed in Maryland and/or Washington, D.C.
- Experience with legal software (e.g., Clio, Filevine)
- Spanish or other second language proficiency
- Background in contingency-based or volume litigation

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $130,000 - $135,000 (up to $145,000 for the right candidate with MD/DC license + strong PI verdict/settlement record)
- Quarterly Performance Commissions: 10–15% paid on collected legal fees above $200K/quarter
- OTE: Strong case pipeline and bonus structure with realistic On-Target Earnings (OTE) exceeding $200,000+ annually
