Position:  Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

Location: Fairfax, VA (In-office)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $120,000 base salary + performance-based bonus

About Our Client:

Our client is a growing and highly regarded boutique law firm in Northern Virginia, specializing in personal injury and criminal defense. With a strong track record of successful litigation and client advocacy, the firm has built a reputation for delivering results in high-volume, high-impact cases. They are now looking to add a seasoned Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to their team to take over an active caseload and help continue their tradition of courtroom excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage a full caseload of personal injury files from intake to resolution
• Conduct client consultations and assess case merit
• Investigate claims and gather medical records to support case strategy
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, demand letters, and other legal documentation
• Take and defend depositions; represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel or insurance adjusters
• Coordinate with medical providers and expert witnesses
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to keep cases moving efficiently
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation using case management software
• Provide timely and compassionate communication throughout the litigation process

What They’re Looking For:

• Licensed to practice law in Virginia (required)
• 5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation, including trial experience
• Trial experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload
• Strong legal writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills
• Practical understanding of civil litigation, discovery, and case evaluation
• Compassionate, client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Licensed in Maryland and/or Washington, D.C.
• Familiarity with legal software platforms like Clio, Filevine, or similar
• Spanish or other second language proficiency is an asset
• Experience working in a contingency-based or volume litigation environment
