Job Title: Technical Project Engineer - Aerospace/Defense

Role Overview

Support the complete lifecycle management of projects to ensure final high-quality output, delivered effectively within schedule and budget constraints. Contribute to achieving project goals through cross-functional collaboration and performing tasks related to design, manufacturing, and testing. Play a key role in process improvement and program qualification efforts.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage aerospace/defense projects from initiation to closure.
  • Support analysis, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure phases of projects.
  • Develop and maintain accurate project status reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team across different disciplines.
  • Improve manufacturing processes and design intent using data-driven statistical analysis to create discrepancy-free processes and support full PPAP verification.
  • Assist in implementing quality improvements across the enterprise by incorporating lessons learned.
  • Develop effective qualification plans and reports by engaging internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with project leadership to safeguard schedules and project scope.
  • Actively address customer inquiries and comments related to product manufacturing, potentially developing new assessment processes.
  • Contribute to the timely qualification of products by resolving issues and enhancing communication.
  • Utilize project management methodologies and software (e.g., Microsoft Project).

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred).
  • Possess practical knowledge and skills gained from project, engineering design, manufacturing, testing, and analysis roles, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate high motivation, strong organizational skills, and the ability to be a proactive planner and decision-maker.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication abilities to summarize program status, progress, and future plans clearly.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in NX with Teamcenter.
  • Show excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Enforce requirements for U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if applicable, meeting eligibility criteria for accessing classified information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in product development with strong proficiency in manufacturing process design, product definition/design, or product testing.
  • Have experience acting as a customer interface.
  • Possess understanding of or experience with PPAP processes, statistical methods, or product quality management.
  • Have familiarity with DOD (Department of Defense) program structures or processes.
  • Currently hold or be cleared to obtain a Secret-level security clearance.

Location

This position requires a dedicated on-site presence; remote work is not an option.
