· Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve excellence in manufacturing engineered products. Align operational initiatives with organizational goals and customer needs to support the company's growth
· Process Improvement: Identify and implement operational improvements to improve service levels, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity. Work with site teams to develop continuous improvement road maps to deliver significant benefits.
· Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Execute the intellectual capital process of performance management and talent development to create a high-performance organization
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with the Commercial and Engineering teams to work cross-functionally to improve customer satisfaction. Work closely with other departments such as finance, marketing, and human resources to ensure alignment and synergy across the organization
· Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
· Financial Management: Facilitates P&L support by collaborating with direct reports and leadership on budget planning, capital expenditures, cost analysis opportunities, and manufacturing productivity for assigned customer product lines.
· People Development: Ensure the development and progression of teammates within the organization. Provide opportunities for developmental and promotional growth assignments and project activity
· Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency and stay current with industry trends
· 10+ years' leadership experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience is in welding and sheet metal fabrication environment is preferred
· BA/BS degree in engineering discipline; MS/MBA preferred
· Proven experience in managing a large site in a Site Leader capacity, with 100-plus associates
· Proficiency with a manufacturing ERP platform. Epicor experience a plus.
· Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Black Belt is preferred.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make timely, effective fact-based decisions
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrated business acumen relevant to operational growth
· Knowledge of relevant technology and tools for operations management
· Demonstrated ability to develop high performing work teams
· Hands on ability to work with Site Leaders and their leadership teams
· Direct experience with implementing process improvements (lean) and optimizing operational workflows (Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Kaizen Leadership, Kanban, 5S, etc.) Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is preferred.
