Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation (Remote, California)

�� Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000
�� About the Role
A growing multi-state law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to handle civil litigation matters related to residential real estate, property title, mortgages, and foreclosure defense. This position offers remote work flexibility and the opportunity to engage in meaningful legal advocacy, partnering closely with financial institutions, investors, and other commercial entities.
�� Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of contested litigation related to mortgage servicing and foreclosure.
Handle pre-litigation matters and assist with clearing title issues.
Draft pleadings, legal motions, and case analyses.
Conduct discovery, including depositions.
Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
Stay current on relevant legal issues, case law, and regulations.
Perform additional related duties as needed.
✅ Qualifications
Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active member of the California State Bar.
2–8 years of litigation experience (preferably in real estate or mortgage servicing).
Strong grasp of evidence rules and trial procedures.
Familiarity with the foreclosure process and consumer protection laws such as the FDCPA is a plus.
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated capacity to meet annual billable hour goals (1,920 hours).
