Quality Control Inspector – Day Shift

Location: Local candidates only – no relocation offered
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Start and end time negotiable)
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED
Salary $45-50K
Interview Process:

• 1st Round: Phone interview

• 2nd Round: In-person interview with hands-on inspection test

Top Required Skills

• Hands-on mechanical pump inspection experience

• Proficient in dimensional inspection using precision tools

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specs (including GD&T)

• Experience processing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

• Proficient with computers and inspection software

• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards is a strong plus

Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspector plays a key role in ensuring product quality and compliance. This position works closely with managers, production staff, and suppliers to inspect components, complete quality documentation, and maintain traceability. The role supports continuous improvement efforts and helps reduce rework and waste while enhancing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and report on QA/QC aspects of assigned work scopes

• Perform hands-on inspection of mechanical components

• Generate inspection and quality documentation to required standards

• Verify part accuracy and documentation traceability

• Ensure manufacturing process certification to the highest standards

Required Skills & Experience

Technical:

• 2+ years of dimensional inspection experience using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.

• Ability to read GD&T drawings and Critical Dimension Reports

• Understanding of MTRs (Material Test Reports) and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Certificates

• Knowledge of coatings is a plus
