As they continue to expand their market share, they are seeking a Sales Engineer with a strong technical foundation and proven capital equipment sales experience to join their team.
Role Overview
This role blends sales expertise with technical problem-solving, ideal for a professional who thrives in B2B capital equipment environments. The Sales Engineer will manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead qualification to product demonstrations, RFP responses, and post-sale support. This is a customer-facing, high-activity role requiring up to 50% travel throughout a U.S.-based sales territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business by identifying prospects through cold outreach, referrals, and trade events
- Deliver compelling hands-on product demonstrations at client sites across diverse industrial applications
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, translating customer challenges into product solutions
- Manage the full sales pipeline using Salesforce CRM, ensuring up-to-date tracking and forecasting
- Respond to RFPs/RFQs/RFIs with technically sound, tailored responses
- Represent the company at industry conferences, tradeshows, and technical seminars
- Gather customer feedback and application trends to inform internal product and engineering teams
- Work cross-functionally with internal engineering and operations teams to align on project needs
- Ensure a professional, responsive experience through all stages of the sales and product lifecycle
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of capital equipment sales experience in industrial or processing environments
- Strong understanding of technical and materials-processing concepts
- Demonstrated success in new business development and territory expansion
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Confident operating and demonstrating equipment on-site with customers
- Mechanically inclined and capable of supporting equipment installations
- Self-starter with strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willingness to travel 50% or more as required
