Role Overview
The Senior Electromechanical Engineer will lead the design and development of complex electromechanical systems, components, and prototypes used in high-performance industrial applications. This role combines mechanical engineering, electrical systems integration, and hands-on problem solving. Ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys full-lifecycle project ownership in a collaborative and highly technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new electromechanical systems and support enhancement of existing technologies
- Own assigned projects from concept to completion, including design, prototyping, and testing
- Analyze and solve complex system integration issues involving mechanical and electrical components
- Prepare detailed documentation, including system layouts, specifications, calibration procedures, and testing protocols
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers
- Design for manufacturability and support custom engineering solutions for clients as needed
- Apply principles of electronic theory, electromechanical interaction, and system dynamics to real-world challenges
- Contribute to a fast-paced R&D environment focused on high-performance, precision-engineered systems
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electromechanical product design
- Expertise in mechanical and electrical system integration
- SolidWorks proficiency and strong CAD/CAE analysis skills
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
- Demonstrated track record of designing products for manufacturing and delivering high-quality results
- U.S. Citizenship required (due to project and regulatory constraints)
- Willingness to relocate to rural Montana (relocation assistance provided)
