Position: Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer
Location: Central Marin
Compensation: $115,000–$130,000 base + overtime, depending on experience
Overview:
Seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper and Tax Preparer to support multiple external clients. This role requires a detail-oriented and dependable professional with strong multitasking abilities and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts receivable, accounts payable, deposits, and reconciliations
Manage monthly and annual closings, including preparation of journal entries
Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure timely processing of disbursements
Prepare and generate financial statements for multiple clients
Assist with tax preparation for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
Complete assigned tasks and projects under the direction of firm management
Qualifications:
Proven experience working with QuickBooks and tax preparation software
Prior experience handling multiple client accounts concurrently
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with Lacerte tax software preferred
Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach
