Role Overview

As an Inside Sales Engineer/ Representative, you’ll play a vital role in developing new business and supporting existing clients through a consultative and technically driven sales process. You’ll qualify opportunities, deliver product demonstrations, respond to technical requests, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining sales skills with technical problem-solving to deliver real-world solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop sales opportunities through inbound leads and proactive outreach
  • Deliver technical product demonstrations and guide customers through solution discovery
  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and provide detailed quotations tailored to client specifications
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to align solutions with customer requirements
  • Maintain and manage customer data, pipeline activity, and reporting in Salesforce CRM
  • Attend industry events, tradeshows, and technical seminars as a company representative
  • Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the entire sales process and beyond
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly performance targets

Qualifications

The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for this role:

  • 5+ years of inside sales or technical sales experience, preferably in capital equipment or industrial technology
  • Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle technical sales engagements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of conveying technical concepts clearly
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
  • Proficiency with Salesforce (or similar CRM), Microsoft Office, and virtual demo tools
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to relocate to Butte, Montana (relocation assistance provided)
