Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Management and Licensing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and ensuring the compliance of all software, cloud, and subscription licenses for clients within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft licensing (especially the New Commerce Experience – NCE) and a solid understanding of licensing models from other vendors like Adobe, VMware, Pax8, Cisco, and Azure. You will work closely with our account managers, technical teams, and clients to provide accurate licensing recommendations, ensure compliance, and help optimize costs.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage Licensing Agreements: Develop, manage, and maintain licensing agreements and contracts for software and cloud-based services.
Monitor Compliance: Continuously monitor license terms and conditions to ensure compliance with vendor requirements (Microsoft 365, Adobe, VMware, Pax8, Cisco, Azure, etc.).
Evaluate Licensees: Identify and evaluate current and potential licensees to assess their needs and requirements.
Negotiate Licensing Agreements: Work directly with vendors and clients to negotiate favorable licensing terms and agreements.
Maximize Revenue: Develop strategies to optimize licensing revenue for both clients and the company.
Provide Licensing Advice: Offer guidance and advice on licensing laws, regulations, and best practices to internal teams and clients.
Manage Records: Organize, track, and maintain detailed licensing records to ensure proper documentation and reporting.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Provide support and collaborate with other departments when necessary to meet client needs.

Skills & Qualifications:
Microsoft 365 Certified – Fundamentals (or relevant certifications) preferred.
• 3-5 year experience - PAX 8 preferred
• In-depth knowledge of licensing processes and regulations, especially within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS subscription models and licensing.
• Previous experience working with Microsoft Partner Center or similar CSP platforms is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and licensing terms.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple licensing agreements simultaneously.
• Ability to independently solve problems and make data-driven recommendations.
