About Our Client:

Our client is seeking a professional Controller with at least 5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Compile and assess financial statements for accuracy and IFRS compliance.
• Supervise financial close processes and enhance accounting systems.
• Oversee tax filings and regulatory adherence.
• Administer daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Establish internal controls to protect assets and ensure precision.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to provide financial insights.
• Monitor accounting and tax regulations to maintain compliance
• Partner with Legal to uphold policies and internal controls.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification (or working towards it) is a plus.
• 5–10 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Comfortable working independently and within a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and French.
• Able to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
