Job Description: Senior Litigator (Remote) must be licensed in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, or California

Purpose

A well-established law firm is seeking a licensed Senior Attorney to practice with the West Coast for matters on the West coast side.. The Senior Attorney will handle and manage cases with an emphasis on residential real estate litigation, mortgage, transactional matters, and protect the client’s interest in litigation proceedings and general collection cases.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities

Manage a caseload and bill time hourly.

Attend mediations, trials, hearings, and perform other duties as assigned.

Willing and able to travel on an as-needed basis.

Collaborate effectively with all team members.

Manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.

Assist with other duties and special projects as necessary.

Dual license in additional states (such as Texas) is a plus.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Minimum of eight years of litigation/courtroom experience (foreclosure experience is a plus).

Member of the state Bar, maintaining all necessary licensing and continuing legal education requirements.

Subject matter expert in their field.

Proficient in performing legal research and writing.

Proficient in taking and defending depositions.

Proficient in drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, as well as correspondence, memoranda, and opinion letters.

Proficiency with legal research tools such as Fastcase or Westlaw.

Well-versed in the rules of evidence, introducing evidence, and civil procedure in both state and federal court.
