About our Client

Our client, a leading forestry company based in Richmond, British Columbia specializing in the production and distribution of high-quality wood products is looking for a Receptionist/Accounting Clerk to become a part of their team on a full-time temporary to permanent basis. The successful candidate will be a strong team player, possess effective communication skills, be detail-oriented, be able to utilize analytical capabilities and function well within a progressive accounting environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist with direct deposit setup
  • Data entry
  • Conduct research, assemble and analyze data to prepare documents
  • File and retrieve documents and reference materials for the payroll department
  • Assist the Payroll/Data Operations Department as needed with sorting/batching of payroll utilizing Adobe Acrobat Pro, alphabetizing, separating, and merging documents in Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Assist with packaging payroll
  • Work with Payroll Coordinators as needed
  • Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the Managers/Supervisors, Payroll Operations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-year experience in a payroll, accounting and administrative position preferred
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to compose clear and concise grammatically correct letters, memos, proposals, etc.
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Self-motivated and can work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
