Inside Sales Technical Specialist
Overview: Role within the inside sales team. The Inside Sales Technical Specialist supports outside sales and customer inquiries by handling quoting, ordering, and project-specific technical tasks. The position involves working with products such as valves and steam systems, with key customers including colleges, school districts, hospitals, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the outside sales team to process quotes and orders.
- Provide technical support for customers, including engineers and project managers.
- Manage technical inquiries, perform order entry, and assist with project-related needs.
- Work with project-heavy workflow, which often involves direct communication with engineers and managers.
- Maintain strong communication with the team and build trust, particularly in the high-performing environment.
Work Environment:
- This is an in-office role.
Qualifications:
- A technical background or aptitude is strongly preferred (e.g., technical college, engineering schools, or relevant experience).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a mindset for technical work.
- Ability to learn complex industry knowledge quickly, as there’s a steep learning curve for those outside the field.
- Good communication skills to build trust and collaborate effectively with a high-performing team.
