Job Description

Responsibilities:

Design and implement firmware for embedded devices from requirements
Develop, code, test, and debug system software
The firmware/software are based C Language using open source RTOS
Develop code for Linux driver as required
Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources
Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
Report to the firmware manager and are expected to work closely with other developers to achieve sprint goals, fixing reported issues, releasing new versions, and automating releases.
Participate in code review and assist other developers in optimizing and improving code

Skills Required:

BS degree in Computer Science, Electronics or Relevant Engineering
Can troubleshoot devices on embedded targets. Basic knowledge of Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Logic Analyzer and other troubleshooting equipment
Intermediate skills in programming experience for C
Experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review
Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
Familiar with embedded bootloaders

Skills considered an asset:

Familiar with Linux drivers & OS
Experience with iMX Controller & Processors
