Job Description

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Project Manager (IAM/IDM) for an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension, supporting its Ottawa-based customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead IAM/IDM projects from initiation through to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security requirements and organizational priorities.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones and resource requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, budgets, schedules, status reports and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, technical resources, business stakeholders and external vendors to drive project delivery.
• Lead project governance, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, change management and escalation activities.
• Engage senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders to communicate project progress, resolve challenges and support key decisions.
• Manage competing priorities and evaluate trade-offs related to project scope, cost, timelines, complexity, risk and business value.
• Oversee vendor engagement, procurement activities, IM/IT contract requirements and Request for Proposal (RFP) development, as required.
• Support requirements gathering, business analysis, process documentation and stakeholder consultations related to IAM/IDM initiatives.
• Provide recommendations on project direction, delivery approaches, resource allocation and risk mitigation.
• Ensure project deliverables meet established governance, quality, security and operational requirements.

Key Qualifications

• 8+ years of project management experience delivering complex IM/IT projects from initiation through implementation, including managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resources and external vendors.
• Demonstrated experience leading Identity and Access Management (IAM/IDM) projects, including initiatives involving identity lifecycle management, user provisioning and deprovisioning, access controls, identity governance or enterprise identity platform implementations.
• PMP certification and a college diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, with proven experience in project governance, executive-level stakeholder management and delivery within complex enterprise environments.

Additional Experience

• Experience with project resource planning, reporting, prioritization and budget management.
• Experience with vendor management, IM/IT contracts and procurement processes.
• Experience with business analysis, requirements gathering and RFP development.
• Familiarity with software development and delivery, databases, networking and enterprise system integrations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders at the director and C-suite levels.
• Experience with CA Clarity Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) is an asset.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is an asset.
• Experience delivering projects in a structured, government-adjacent or large enterprise environment is preferred.

Compensation

Hourly rate is negotiable. This is an existing position vacancy.
