Job Description

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer (Azure Cloud) for a permanent full time position with its Ottawa based customer.

Key Tasks

• Validate application workflows, permissions, and security controls within Azure Cloud Environments.
• Verify functional and non-functional requirements for cloud-native microservices.
• Monitor cloud logs using Azure Monitor and Application Insights to troubleshoot defects.
• Integrate automated regression tests into Azure DevOps Release Pipelines.
• Configure quality gates in Azure Repos pull request (PR) workflows.
• Design and execute automated API tests via Postman.
• Track and manage software defects, risks, and execution tasks inside Azure Boards.
• Author structured test plans and matrices mapped directly to agile user stories.
• Collaborate closely with Developers and DevOps teams during sprint planning and grooming.

Key Qualifications

• 3+ Years with Azure services deploymnets & testing CI/CD.
• Proficiency in programming languages (C#, Python, or Java) and automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience executing tests within an active Azure Cloud Architecture.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Key Vault, Service Bus)
• ALM & CI/CD: Azure DevOps (Boards, Pipelines, Repos, Test Plans), GitHub Actions
• Automation Frameworks
• API Testing Tools: Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI
• Database & Analytics: Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Advanced T-SQL queries
• Languages: C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Assets

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer.

Compensation

Based on qualifications and experience: 60,000 - 70,000
