Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking local Equipment Operators with Zoom Boom/Telehandler experience for work at our project in Industrial, BC.

  • Schedule Rotation: 14 days on, 7 days off, 10 hour days
  • Wage: $36.83 (As Per Collective Agreement)
  • Travel: Available (if applicable)
  • Camp provided
  • Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement

What You Will Be Working On

  • Final grade for walkways and base preparation
  • Plan and execute operation activities to avoid schedule delays
  • Operate Equipment in tight work areas and in proximity of workers, underground utilities, overhead power lines
  • Maintaining, cleaning, and fueling equipment
  • Lifting, carrying material
  • Spotting equipment
  • Assisting trades with other tasks
  • Performing a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour and use of hands and tools

What We Are Looking For

  • To be considered for this position you must be a registered Journeyman or Apprentice in the trade of Ironworker
  • Experience with industrial or commercial construction
  • A positive attitude towards safety is expected and imperative
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organization skills 
  • Valid Driver's License (not GDL)
  • Zoom Boom/Telehandler ticket & experience is a must
  • CSTS 2020/Site Ready BC
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
  • The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
  • Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
  • Able to work with their hands and safely operate small power tools and equipment run by gasoline, diesel, electricity, and compressed air
