Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking local Labourers for work at our project in Nanaimo, BC.

• Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Rate: $19.96 - $27.69
• Start date: ASAP

What You Will Be Working On

• Infectious control cleaning, perform routine cleaning and disinfecting of hospital areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and medical facilities.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure thorough sanitation.
• Perform routine cleaning and disinfecting of hospital areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and medical facilities.
• Assisting trades with various tasks
• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor and use of hands and tools
• Following safe work and quality policies and procedures
• Take instructions from immediate Supervisor to complete tasks as outlined daily
• Attend required meetings as requested

What We Are Looking For

• Infection Control Part 1 & 2 Certifications are an asset
• CSTS-2020
• WHMIS-2015
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working on ladders and performing tasks that require reaching above head level
• Be self-motivated and dependable
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in small/tight spaces
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
