Why Work for Us 

Stuart Olson is currently hiring Laborers with experience assisting Scaffolders for physically demanding fast-paced work on an industrial job site north of Fort McMurray. This role supports the scaffolding crew by performing manual labor, material handling, and site preparation to ensure safe and efficient scaffold builds and dismantles. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist scaffolders with erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding systems 
• Load, unload, and move scaffold materials around site 
• Carry, lift, and stage materials in designated work areas 
• Maintain clean and organized work zones 
• Follow all safety regulations, site rules, and supervisor instructions 
• Perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods 
• Support general labor duties as required 

Qualifications 

• Previous experience supporting scaffolding crews (required) 
• Pre Access A&D test 
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs repetitively 
• Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions 
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn 
• Ability to work as part of a team in a high paced environment 

Required safety tickets: Site to confirm 

• BSO/CSO or CSTS 09 
• H2S Awareness 

Work Conditions 

• Very physical role involving heavy lifting, climbing, bending, and long periods of standing 
• Potential for overtime, weekend work, and shift work depending on project needs 
• Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions  
• Must be clean shaven  
• Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots
