Our leading health care client is looking for a full stack developer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will be fully remote with 3 visits to the Toronto office a year.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—especially Communications—to keep digital presence dynamic, engaging, and user-friendly, while ensuring accessibility and brand consistency. The ideal candidate brings a balance of technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the drive to lead web and system integration projects from end to end.
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the organization’s website and digital solutions.
Provide daily operational support, including content updates, collaborating with Communications and internal stakeholders.
Offer web development leadership within the broader technology team, contributing across the stack when needed.
Ensure the website meets accessibility standards (AODA) and adheres to visual brand guidelines.
Manage and distribute the monthly organizational newsletter using MailChimp, and track key metrics for performance improvement.
Support the planning, testing, and rollout of system updates and integrations, working closely with technical and business teams.
Participate in Agile team practices such as daily standups and sprint planning.
Document technical processes and contribute to business and disaster recovery planning.
Troubleshoot and resolve web-related issues, escalating as needed.
Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement system enhancements and upgrades.
Stay up-to-date with web technologies and identify opportunities for improvement.
Strong experience designing and developing web solutions, with an eye for usability and performance.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent communication skills to translate technical needs to non-technical audiences.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Experience integrating websites with back-end services and APIs.
High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining organized documentation.
A passion for modern digital practices and continuous improvement.
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field—or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years in a similar web development/integration role.
Solid experience with Python and:
WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP
MailChimp, Web services/APIs
Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
Bonus skills:
Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
SQL, TypeScript, Node.js
Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset but not mandatory.
Ability to travel as required.
