Job Description

Our client working in the Non-Profit industry is hiring for a Labor Relations Assistant to join their team on a contract basis until December 2025.

This is working in a hybrid model, working 5 days onsite every two week period.

This role provides high-level administrative support and helps manage files related to Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) appeals.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and service-driven team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to WSIB-related inquiries by phone and email; direct to appropriate team members.

  • Manage and organize digital and physical files.

  • Draft, format, transcribe, and proofread letters, memos, and legal documents.

  • Support document preparation and filing for appeal processes.

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics.

  • Handle general office tasks: mail processing, document scanning, supply requests, and database updates.

  • Provide administrative support to Labour Relations Officers and legal staff.

  • Help with ongoing projects and contribute to overall team effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Administrative Services, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years’ experience in an administrative or legal assistant role.

  • Knowledge of WSIB processes is an asset.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Comfortable working with staff at all levels and providing exceptional internal service.
